Cancellation Policy
At tancredpsych we are passionate about providing you with quality mental health care and your appointments and well-being are very important to us.

We know your time is valuable, and ours is too. When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other clients. As soon as you know you will not be able to attend your appointment, please let us know either through the confirmation email (link at the bottom of the email) you receive when making your booking or by phoning us on 07 35170323 between the hours of 9am and 5pm.

If cancellation is necessary, we require that you notify us at least 48 hours in advance, or you will incur an $80 cancellation fee. Appointments are in high demand, and your advanced notice will allow another client access to that appointment time. As a private small business owner, if you don’t show up to your appointment, we don’t get paid. We are not paid by Medicare. Medicare determines the rebate amounts for your healthcare and pays you the rebate.

Our policy regarding missed appointments or late cancellations is clearly stated in the consent form which is signed when attending your first appointment or when filling out your online intake form.
We encourage you to take this opportunity to understand the cancellation policy before booking a session.
When you make a booking online
When you make a booking online you will receive an email confirmation of the booking with the address and parking information.
A further email as a reminder of your appointment is sent 4 days prior to your appointment. Both emails have a link at the bottom that will allow you to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

A 2-way SMS reminder is sent 3 days prior to your appointment so that if you need to cancel or reschedule you can contact us within the 48-hour required notice period. If you are ill and cannot make the session, please let us know.
Late Cancellations, reschedules and no shows
Late cancellations or requests to reschedule an appointment are considered late when it is less than 48 hours before the appointment time. If a cancellation or request to reschedule is received with less than 48 hours’ notice before the appointed time a fee of $80 will be charged.

A ‘no-show’ or missed appointment without notifying us will incur a fee of $80. In the event of a true, unavoidable emergency, we may exercise our discretion to waive the cancellation or ‘no-show’ fee. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
